In addition to the actions promoted by the city hall, which involve free classes, workshops and lectures in Vale do Anhangabaú , there are other options that accommodate all audiences, as well as shows, exhibitions and events.
Exhibitions and productions
Until May 21st, from Tuesdays to Sundays, at Farol Santander, for 35 reais full price and 17.50 half price, the immersive exhibition “teamLab: Impermanent Flowers Floating in an Eternal Sea” will take place.
Occupying two floors of the historic building, the production by Angela Magdalena and Júlia Brandão promises four immersive installations taken from one of the most important international art collectives.
During the same period, but from Thursday to Sunday, the show “A Aforista” will take place at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.
The work portrays a woman who, while walking to the funeral of a college friend, reflects on her life and the decisions made by her and her friends, and how a simple choice can lead to complete success or fatal failure.
Following a slightly different line, it is possible to contemplate until May 22, from Wednesdays to Mondays, at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil - CCBB SP and free of charge, the exhibition “Marc Chagall: dream of love”.
More than 190 works by artist Marc Chagall, known for bringing a bit of poetry to his paintings through his unique use of colors, shapes and poetry, will be presented. Alongside the exhibition, there will also be dance performances, lectures and debates.
Cinema and music
Until May 14th, it will be possible to attend the Arab Women's Film Festival for free, which will take place at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center — CCBB in downtown São Paulo . It is the third edition of the event, and 34 cinematographic works directed by women will be shown.
The program is made up of films of different formats and genres, which can be short, medium and feature-length films, ranging from fiction to documentaries.
Showing more of Arab culture and about Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Algeria and Morocco, all through a female perspective on culture, countries and regions.
Moving on to the musical sphere, the Olido Cultural Center will be the stage on May 4th for a Samba rock performance starring Dorival Amaral and his group.
Where there will be women and couples dancing typical steps of the musical genre together and individually, although it can also occur simultaneously by up to four people, which is called a “performance chain”.
